BioONORATA-VERSE BACKGROUND:
Ken Hidaka was the son of a middle class Japanese family in a middle sized city, going to a middle sized college, and participating in their middle of the college league soccer team. Unfortunately, a drug scandal ruined his chances at making it big, along with getting him expelled. Ken, burning with the desire to prove his innocence, was lured to a warehouse that was then set ablaze. Barely surviving, he realized that even if he proved his innocence, no one would ever forget what had happened. They would always be suspicious and it would never go away. He decided enough was enough… he would play dead in order to spare himself and everyone else from the whole matter.
What little evidence he had, pointed to offshoots of the mafia as being the originators of the scandal, and joined the Anti-Mafia commission, believing that they were the good guys, and would help him stop the mafia from committing more crimes. During basic training, he discovered he was actually pretty skilled in hand to hand combat, his former soccer days coming to his aid in excellent agility and reaction time. Also, spending a lot of your life in locker rooms with adrenaline hyped up males makes you really good at fending people off.
However, Ken, as much as it may appear at times, is not a complete dunderhead and soon realizes that the idealistic view that many have of the AMC is completely wrong. That it was just as corrupt and horrible, and unjust as the outside world. This realization causes him to give it up in disgust and he moved away as far as he could afford to. This, lead him to Reggio Calabria, Italy, a place he had heard would let you forget the past and forge ahead into the future.
Unfortunately, being good at soccer doesn’t get you very far in the real world, and Ken soon found himself strapped for cash, and well, being broke didn’t sit well with him, so off he went to find a job. He figured this would be easy. He was young, easy going, pleasant, and definitely able to do basic grunt work but, it was taking longer then he had expected and funds were running pretty low. Ken was getting desperate.
EDIT! he currently works part time for the Tea shop, also now he does three nights a week at Muraki's clinic after closing to do cleaning and stuff like that.
2nd Edit: To those who have access to his AMC records - they mainly consist of the above information as well as these additions : He has seen one of the company psychologists for a lighter phobia due to the whole warehouse incident, as well as his per chances to dare devil, and that he has the nickname 'Siberian' due to the claw's he uses when he doesn't fist fight.
He's roughly about 21 years old
